This thing was beautiful. It even had the original wheels, which I love and which too few FJ40s seem to retain.

Had a client that had 2 at one point. One looked just like that. The other was more of a project than he wanted so he sold it.

My dad had one brand new in 1976. It was beige, and the first thing he did was get wider wheels and put bigger tires on, since he was in mud all the time and the skinny stock ones weren’t cutting it. Also a rack for two or three jerry cans, since the tank wasn’t big enough to get him from one gas station to another in northern BC and AB
